


Financial Analyst
Location: Plattsburgh, NY (with potential travel to Canada, including some overnight)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually

About the Roles:
Micro Bird USA LLC is seeking a Financial Analyst who is responsible for focusing on the financial health and operational performance of manufacturing activities within our company. You will play a critical role in providing financial analysis, insights, and reporting to optimize manufacturing operations, control costs, and achieve strategic objectives. This combined with experience working in a manufacturing environment will be a key to success in this role.
What you will do regularly:

Analyzing financial and production data, trends, and variances to develop comprehensive reports and forecasts.

Preparing and presenting monthly financial and cost analysis.

Monitoring and tracking manufacturing budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

Developing and maintaining dashboards and KPIs to support real-time decision-making.

Analyzing production costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing process improvements.

Evaluating and reporting on inventory levels, material costs, and labor efficiency.

Supporting standard costing processes and providing insights on variances.
-
Conducting cost analysis and providing recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.

Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate projections of production volumes, costs, and revenues.

Partnering with managers, supply chain teams, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights that drive operational improvements.

Compliance and Process Improvement:

Ensuring compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and relevant regulatory standards.

Identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance cost efficiency and financial productivity.
Minimum Requirements:
-
All applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred. In lieu of education, we will consider equivalent work experience

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex manufacturing data and identify areas for improvement.

Proficiency in building financial models to forecast manufacturing performance and analyze different scenarios.

Understanding of cost accounting principles and practices, including cost classification, overhead allocation, and variance analysis.

Experience with ERP systems, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and Microsoft 365.

Ability to clearly explain financial insights and recommendations to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
