Location: Plattsburgh, NY (with travel to Canada, including some overnight)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually

This role ensures that production schedules are met, resources are allocated effectively, and that processes run efficiently, all while maintaining quality standards and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The Production Supervisor serves as a key liaison between the production floor, management, and other departments, ensuring smooth communication and the successful execution of production plans. What you will do regularly:

- Provide leadership and support to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
- Ensure proper work habits, use, and maintenance of tools, equipment, and housekeeping foster a “safety first” attitude and atmosphere.
- Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the activities of the production team to ensure efficient operation and on-time delivery of products.
- Utilize knowledge about the assembly, manufacturing methods, techniques, and processes that are required to ensure first-time quality.
- Lead and motivate the production team, providing guidance, support, and training to improve performance and ensure high levels of productivity.
- Responsible for team member development plans, identifying training, providing training and maintaining competence levels of the area. Coach and counsel employees who need help improving their job performance.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure that production targets are met within the established timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize production efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production processes and suggesting improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Support cross functional activities with Safety, Quality, Engineering, Logistics teams, etc.; Develop and maintain harmonious, effective relationships with other company departments.
- Supports leadership with departmental objectives related to productivity, assembly schedules and efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:

- Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to promote a culture of safety.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and quality control standards.
- Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve production-related issues quickly and effectively with a proactive approach to process improvement
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team and interact with teams at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in developing and coaching teams while working in a team-based environment.
- Superior performance management skills; setting objectives, monitoring and evaluating performance.
- Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office & Production Mgmt. systems), as well as manufacturing software and tools to track production data.
