


Build Lead
Location: Plattsburgh, NY (potential travel to Canada, including overnight)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $22.50 - $25.00

About the Roles:
Micro Bird USA LLC is seeking a Build Lead. The Build Lead is responsible for overseeing the assembly and building of products within the assigned area of the manufacturing facility. While this position does not involve leading people or creating/reviewing reports, it requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and an ability to ensure smooth operation of the build process. You will physically take part in the assembly of the bus and requires in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, technical expertise, the ability to take ownership of the build process from start to finish. This role will work directly with the Industrial Engineering team to ensure smooth option integration. You must be proficient in accessing, understanding, and utilizing all relevant production tools, documentation, and specialized computer programs used by Micro Bird.
What you will do regularly:

Lead the assembly process for products, ensuring components are assembled accurately and meet design specifications.

Ensure products are built within established timeframes, maintaining high standards for quality and craftsmanship.

Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings to assemble products correctly.

Perform quality checks during the build process to ensure product specifications are met and products are defect-free.

Identify and address any discrepancies or defects during assembly, making corrections as needed to maintain quality standards.

Ensure the build process complies with company safety and quality guidelines.

Troubleshoot issues related to the build process, such as part misalignment, assembly challenges, or technical concerns, and resolve them quickly.

Work with the production team to identify and address any obstacles to the smooth flow of the build process.

Ensure that materials and components are available and properly prepared for the build process, minimizing delays due to shortages or material handling issues.

Verify the correct components are used for each build and check that any materials needed for production are properly organized and accessible.

Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.

Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment throughout the build process.

Minimum Requirements:

3 years of experience working on a production line or in a manufacturing environment, particularly within the automotive industry.

Solid understanding of product assembly, tools, and equipment used in the manufacturing process.

Ability to quickly adapt to different tasks and workstations in a dynamic production environment.

Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the build process independently.

Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in an automotive setting.

Must be comfortable using a computer as part of daily activities.

Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.

Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 30 lbs.).
