Salary Range: $105,000.00-$130,000.00 per year

A Methods Manager plays a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring operational efficiency within the bus production environment. This position is responsible for leading, developing, implementing, and continuously improving industrial manufacturing methods and processes that enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality of production. The Industrial Methods Manager collaborates closely with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and introduces innovative solutions that improve productivity, quality and safety.

The Industrial Methods Manager collaborates closely with engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and introduces innovative solutions that improve productivity, quality and safety.
What you will do regularly:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the industrial team. Provide regular feedback, set clear performance expectations, and support professional growth through training and development initiatives.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track team performance and project outcomes. Hold team members accountable for results while fostering a supportive and solution-oriented environment.
- Champion change initiatives by engaging employees, addressing resistance, and ensuring smooth transitions during process improvements or implementations.
- Lead process industrialization for new products and oversee ramp-up activities; define and validate manufacturing methods.
- Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing methods, standardized work instructions, process documentation, and time studies.
- Specify and validate work instructions, tools, jigs, and fixtures required for efficient production.
- Design and optimize plant layouts, process documentation, workstation ergonomics, and material flow to improve productivity and safety.
- Ensure all methods comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure consistent quality.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of new methods and technologies. Promote open communication and teamwork across departments.
- Work with maintenance and engineering to ensure equipment reliability and suitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency, cycle times, and labor utilization.
- Use data to drive decisions and present findings to leadership.
- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving manufacturing capabilities.
- Manage timelines, resources, and budgets for method-related initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Operations Management, or similar is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial methods, or process improvement role, preferably in automotive or transportation manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and projects.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and industrial engineering principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software, ERP systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a diverse team and interact with teams at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in developing and coaching teams while working in a team-based environment.
