Location: Plattsburgh, NY (potential travel to Canada, including overnight)

About the Roles:
Micro Bird USA LLC is seeking a Specialized Assembler Floater-Electrical. The Specialized Assembler Floater – Electrical is responsible for supporting multiple departments by performing a variety of assembly tasks focused on electrical assembly and validation throughout the production process. The priority of this role is electrical, however is also required to perform mechanical assembly when needed.  This role requires a flexible and proactive individual who can quickly adapt to different electrical and mechanical tasks, ensuring that production runs smoothly and meets all quality standards. 


What you will do regularly:

  • Install, connect, and validate electrical components and wiring systems according to production specifications and safety standards.  Install and secure various parts and sub-assemblies into vehicles in production and post-production lines. This includes securing bolts, fasteners, connectors, and electrical systems while ensuring proper alignment and functionality.  
  • Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and compliance with quality requirements.  Identify and repair any electrical issues or discrepancies promptly.  
  • Collaborate with other production teams to find root cause through troubleshooting, and feedback potential improvements to necessary work areas. 
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.  
  • Utilize specialized tools, diagnostic equipment, and computer programs to complete electrical tasks accurately.  
  • Collaborate with other production teams to support assembly needs across multiple areas.  
  • Adhere to blueprints, assembly manuals, and work orders to ensure parts are correctly assembled. Understand and follow detailed work instructions for each vehicle model being produced. 
  • Ensure all work meets established quality standards before they are moved to the next stage of the production process. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.  
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines. 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Technical training in electrical systems is preferred.  
  • 3+ Years experience in electrical assembly, wiring, or validation within a manufacturing environment.  
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics. 
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.  
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.  
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.  
  • Must be comfortable using a computer as part of daily activities. 
  • Ability to quickly adapt to different tasks and workstations in a dynamic production environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others. 
  • Work in a manufacturing setting with varying temperatures. 
  • Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance; reach with hands and arms including overhead; stoop, kneel, crouch.  Standing, walking, operating equipment for extended periods. 
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 30 lbs.).
