Job Title: Logistics Build Lead
Location: Plattsburgh, NY (potential travel to Canada, including overnight)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $22.50 per hour
Start Date:September 2025

About the Roles:
Micro Bird USA LLC is seeking a hands-on Logistics Build Lead. The Logistics Build Lead will partner with Industrial Engineering, Production, and Logistics to design and implement and repair parts buggies and carts that support efficient line-side delivery. This role ensures that parts presentation meets operator needs, while carts are durable enough to withstand repeated use and transport on tractor trailers between offsite warehouses and the production facility.  

What you will do regularly:

  • Collaborate with Industrial Engineering to design, build, and validate part buggies/carts.
  • Ensure ergonomic and efficient material presentation at workstations.
  • Maintain/repair current cart inventory.
  • Conduct durability testing for carts subjected to offsite trailer transport.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with pilot builds, rollout, and continuous improvement of buggy/carts.
  • Document design standards (materials, load capacities, handling requirements).
  • Provide feedback to suppliers/engineering on cost, safety, and performance.
  • Train warehouse and production teams on safe and efficient cart usage.
  • Support alignment of warehouse-to-line material flow with production requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 3–5 years in logistics, manufacturing.
  • Experience with material handling and workstation delivery systems.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
  • CAD experience (preferred), ERP/WMS system knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
