Micro Bird USA LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant who is responsible to analyze the financial costs and performance of a manufacturing company, performing duties such as gross margin analysis, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and reporting on costs of goods sold (COGS). Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing reports, assisting with month-end closing, monitoring inventory and production costs, updating standard costs in Bills of Materials (BOMs), identifying cost savings, and improving financial efficiency.

Key responsibilities include preparing and analyzing reports, assisting with month-end closing, monitoring inventory and production costs, updating standard costs in Bills of Materials (BOMs), identifying cost savings, and improving financial efficiency.
What you will do regularly:
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, or manufacturing methods to understand their effect on costs.
- Perform variance analysis to compare standard costs against actual costs and identify and explain discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory movement and reconcile monthly inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries.
- Ensure financial activities are compliant with GAAP and internal policies.
- Coordinate with operations, plant managers, and engineers to manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and resolve cost variances.
- Maintain and utilize ERP systems to ensure accurate financial data.
- Support the development of manufacturing budgets and financial forecasts. Regularly compare actual results to budgeted figures and provide explanations for variances
- Preparing financial records; Maintain ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents
- Reconciling financial statements; Verify and reconcile various financial documents and transactions
- Assisting with audits; Support financial audits and prepare necessary documentation
- Ensuring compliance; Make sure all financial activities adhere to accounting principles and legislation
- All applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred. In lieu of education, we will consider equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adjust to shifting priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
